The Author
Born in China, Kit Hayward grew up and worked in Hong Kong. A retired Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Hayward worked for 15 years in the Building Authority of the Hong Kong Government and another 11 years as Project Director for HKR International Company Limited. She was also responsible for pioneering the development of “Discovery Bay Lifestyle” on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Since 1991, she has worked as a development consultant with projects in both Europe and China.
Hayward identifies herself as a keen traveler with a camera. Her “Remote China” project covers a period of 20 years. She hopes to publish a series of photographic journals that capture the images of people and landscape that reflect the economy and lifestyle of the areas at a time of dramatic economic advancement in China. She now lives in England with her husband and their two sons.
